Biography
I’d always loved music and had a desire to dance when I was growing up, but never had the confidence to pursue it until the early 90’s while studying at a college in Galway (at the tender age of 18). I joined a contemporary dance team there and learned about personal expression through dance and movement.
These experiences inspired me to initiate dance (choreography and team performance) for church youth groups in Belfast for a few years before moving on to salsa in 2002. Although my salsa journey began in Belfast, I’ve had the privilege of being taught and mentored by Mel C of Carpe Diem Entertainments Company in Birmingham (see links page) since summer 2005 to the present day. Salsarosado is affiliated with Carpe Diem and follows the same methods of teaching.
